about the project
After a few months in lockdown, me and my friends developed a regular and active community on our Discord server. It was amazing to keep in touch like this after being unable to see each other in person for a long time. I missed them and their faces so much that I had the idea to make illustrations based on my favorite pictures of them.
process
Each illustration was made while chatting and sharing the screen with the person being drawn (and others). I locked the pictures in a separate layer and sketched the basic shapes. In another layer, I intuitively placed shadows and played with details and colors.
